StFX Women's Field Hockey Club
WELCOME!
All StFX students, whether you wish to play competitively or recreationally are invited to join the club!

The club was founded in 2009 by a group of dedicated students eager to bring field hockey to X! In four short years, the club has grown significantly achieving many great successes.
The competitive team competes in the Atlantic University Women’s League and begins the year with a pre-season training camp followed by practices consisting of three practices on the artificial turf along with one fitness practice a week. The outdoor competitive season lasts from beginning of September until mid October. The team travels to hosting universities to compete in three tournaments held on the weekends throughout the season. Teams play against teams from Acadia University, Dalhousie University, St. Mary’s University, University of New Brunswick and University of Prince Edward Island.

For those wishing to enjoy playing field hockey at X but not competitively, you are welcome to come out to any practice, scrimmage game, cheer the team on at tournaments and come to the many social events the club hosts throughout the year!
